On 26th August, ESDRC carried out one day workshop on “Role of community forest user groups in vulture conservation” among Baghmare Bishnupura community forest users in Shantinagar rural municipality ward no. 2.

Dilli Bahadur Rawat, President of ESDRC presented on importance of vultures and role of community forest user groups in vulture conservation including need to protect nests of vultures. President of Baghmare Bishnupura community forest user committee and president of the workshop Mr. Laxman Khatri made a comitment to include vulture conservation activities in community forest operation plan.

Likewise, Ward president of Shantinagar rural municipality ward no. 2 and Chief guest of the workshop Mr. Farsaram Dangi made a commitment to allocate budget from ward office for vulture conservation activities. The workshop was financial supported by Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN).
