ESDRC, Dang saved a young White-rumped vulture chick that had fallen from the nest.

On May 3, a young White-rumped vulture chick that had fallen from the nest was brought to the rescue facility run by ESDRC, Dang. The chick was brought from the Shantinagar Rural Municipality-2 nesting colony in Baghmare, Dang. The chick was transported from the nesting colony to the rescue facility with the aid of the forest guard duo Ratan Kumai and Bhagiram Dangi. For roughly 13 days, the frail chick was kept under observation and given medication.

The bird was successfully released back into the nesting colony after a full recovery. The chick was released in the presence of Laxman Khatri, president of the Bishnupura CFUG, Dang, Dilli Bahadur Rawat, president of the ESDRC, and Deelip Chand, field biologist for Bird Conservation Nepal.
