ESDRC Nepal rescued some injured vultures in Dang

On 17 th February 2021, local villagers from Shantinagar rural municipality reported Division Forest Office, Dang about injured vultures in their area and a team of Division Forest office and Environmental Sustainable Development and Research Centre reached to the spot where two Himalayan Griffons were found injured (One had injury in its back and another had injury in its eye). Both the injured vultures were brought to vulture safe feeding site at Bijouri and treatment is in progress there for the injured vultures. In addition to this , on 27 th February college students of Tulsipur Agriculture College reported injured vultures, when ESDRC team reached to the spot one Himalayan Griffon was died and one Himalayan Griffon was injured.




According to college students the vultures were injured and died due to electrocution. The died vulture was dug in the soil and injured vulture later flew and sat on the tree.
